Some animals, especially your pets, can understand what you’re telling them at times. They just can’t respond to you like we do to everyone else. (Well, if they could, you would be running for your life.)

In a TikTok post by @haniffharussani, the swans at his home can clearly understand his words and “take orders” from him. However, it seems that the birds are a bit selective when it comes to the language Haniff uses to convey his message. If you tell the swans to masuk reban (get to the barn), it won’t work on them unless you do what Haniff did.

“It’s time to go home! Hey, yo! Get in the barn! Come on, chop chop!”

We have swans that only take orders if you speak English in the Texas slang.

Haniff had to “address” the swans 1 by 1 with names, and their names are as atas as the language the birds understand. Meet Morty, Jeremy, James, and Sean – Haniff’s swans which he called “imported swans” given the language that they can understand.

When the swans returned to the barn, Haniff praised them for a job well done, and for listening to his instructions.

“All right! Thank you so much guys! See you guys tomorrow yeah! Good evening!”

Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Haniff said that these are the swans he has at his father-in-law’s home in KL.

“The barn that you see in the video is at the back of his house.”

Haniff also told WORLD OF BUZZ that he was asked to look after the “Texan” birds because his in-laws are away for vacation.

“These swans have PHD!”

In the meantime, netizens were also entertained to see Haniff communicating with his “educated” swans. One of them was also reminded of the popular English TV series, Peaky Blinders.

“I think the accent makes this way funnier and I laughed for that.”

You can watch Morty, Sean, James, and Jeremy in the viral clip below.

To those of you who have pets at home, do you speak your mother tongue with them, or do they only “respond” and take orders when you pretend to be an English?
