Affin Bank and AirAsia are offering RM50 off return flights from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong when you pay with an Affin card. The discount applies automatically at checkout, with a minimum spend of RM600 per booking, and the booking window runs from 6 to 31 July 2026.
The offer is part of a campaign with the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and it covers travel until 31 December 2026. That gives you room to book now for a year-end holiday or a December trip to catch Hong Kong’s Christmas lights, since the discount applies regardless of when you fly within that window.
How The Discount Works
To redeem, book your flight on the AirAsia website or the AirAsia MOVE app, then pay with an eligible Affin card in a single transaction. The RM50 comes off automatically once your payment goes through, so there’s no promo code to key in and nothing to claim afterwards.
Eligible cards include Affin Bank credit cards, Affin Islamic Credit Card-i, and Affin Bank or Affin Islamic Visa debit cards, covering both principal and supplementary cardholders.
Only 600 Redemptions Are Available
The discount is capped at 600 redemptions for the whole campaign, given out on a first-come, first-served basis. Once those run out, you’ll pay the full fare even if you book within the promotion period, so booking early in July gives you a much better chance than waiting until the final week.
You can make multiple bookings if redemptions are still available, and the RM50 applies per booking. Do note that the discount only covers return flights from Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong, so trips departing from other Malaysian airports won’t qualify.
What RM50 Means On A Hong Kong Fare
Return fares from KL to Hong Kong on AirAsia often fall between RM600 and RM900 outside peak season, which puts the minimum spend within easy reach for most bookings. On a RM650 fare, the RM50 discount works out to a saving of nearly 8%, enough to cover an Octopus card top-up for a few days of train and tram rides once you land.
The discount can’t be exchanged for cash and won’t apply to other expenses like baggage or seat selection beyond the booking total. Fares quoted on AirAsia’s platform are shown per one-way trip inclusive of taxes and fees, so check that your combined return booking crosses RM600 before assuming the discount will apply. Full terms are on the Affin Bank promotions page.
