Getafe president Angel Torres has opened the door to signing Oriol Romeu.
The Barcelona midfielder has been linked with a return to Girona.
But Getafe are also keen, with Torres telling Marca: "In football there is nothing impossible.
"I have told many times about Messi. I was able to bring him when he was 16 years old. In football there are difficult things but not impossible. We are working on four or five very advanced things. We are waiting for tomorrow or the day after the coach to come and give his approval.
"One or two reinforcements will come as long as the coach agrees."
