  • American actor Jennifer Runyon, known for her roles in 1980s productions such as Ghostbusters and Charles in Charge, passed away on Friday at the age of 65.
  • Her death was confirmed by close friend and actor Erin Murphy, who stated Runyon had a “brief battle with cancer”.
  • Runyon, born in Chicago in 1960, came from a show-business family and began her acting career in the late 1970s.
  • She played a young woman in Ghostbusters who encounters Bill Murray's character, and also had a prominent role as Gwendolyn Pierce in the first season of Charles in Charge.
  • Runyon retired from Hollywood in 2016 to raise her two children, Wyatt and Bayley, with her husband Todd Corman.
