A 36ft likeness of embattled Fifa president Gianni Infantino has been created for this year’s Edenbridge bonfire night celebration.
Seen with bank notes come out of his ears and holding a golden Donald Trump ‘Piece of Shirt prize’ trophy, Infantino was chosen after being embroiled in a summer of scandal.
The 56-year-old has been accused of trying to ‘sell off’ the World Cup by planning to offer parts of the competition’s commercial operations to private investors.
“What Mr Infantino has become infamous for is not confined to the world of football,” said Edenbridge Bonfire Society chairman Bill Cummings.
“Even those who don’t follow the game will be aware of some of the underhand activities he has been involved in.”
