KOTA KINABALU: Two individuals have received the gift of sight through eye donations from a computer programming expert.
The donor, Jonathan Ho, 47, from Kampung Tuunon Kolopis, Penampang, died of medical complications.
Jonathan’s family agreed to donate his pair of eyes after they were informed that they were suitable for donation and could help those in need.
Queen Elizabeth Hospital has recorded eight eye donation cases, while Queen Elizabeth Hospital II recorded a case of multiple organ donation (liver, kidney, and eye) this year.
