- Actor Gillian Anderson has spoken about the sense of “betrayal” she feels over the scandal connected to her 2025 film The Salt Path.
- Anderson played Raynor Winn in the film, an adaptation of Winn’s 2018 memoir, which chronicles her and her husband Moth’s journey along the South West Coast Path after losing their Welsh farm.
- An investigation by the Observer later suggested that some parts of the memoir had been fabricated – a claim that Winn has denied.
- Anderson, who has previously met with the Winns in person, has now described the situation as “really disappointing” in an interview with The Times.
- “It felt like such a betrayal because we’d spent time with [the Winns],” she said.
