It’s officially time to get excited about Glastonbury Festival’s 2027 return, with organiser Emily Eavis revealing that next year’s headliners have been booked and tickets announced to go on sale in October.
The Somerset-based festival took a break this year to allow the farm land to recover, having seen Rod Stewart, The 1975, Neil Young and Olivia Rodrigo perform in 2025.
Now, Glastonbury organiser Emily Eavis has confirmed that next year’s headliners have signed on the dotted line – although there’s one huge star who won’t be making an appearance at Worthy Farm.
“It’s definitely not Madonna, I’ll tell you that,” she said on BBC Radio 4’s PM programme Friday (14 August). “But we have got three [other] headliners and we're very excited about it – it's all coming together really well.”
It comes after Madonna appeared to drop a major hint that she would be headlining Glastonbury next year, having told Graham Norton in June that she had “something big” planned in the UK for 2027.
With next year’s headliners officially picked, here is a breakdown of all the stars who are rumoured to be taking to the Glastonbury stage in June.
Taylor Swift
It feels like Taylor Swift’s name comes up every year when discussing rumoured headliners and 2027 is no exception. In May, it was reported that the American singer, 36, was “almost nailed on” to play the Pyramid stage next year, with The Daily Mail claiming that “it’s all going ahead positively” with Swift, who recently married Travis Kelce at New York’s Madison Square Garden.
Meanwhile, Eavis became coy when the “Love Story” singer was brought up by BBC Radio 4’s Katie Razzall. The Glastonbury organiser laughed when asked whether Swift would be performing and said that she didn’t want to discuss the line-up anymore – so take from that what you will!
Harry Styles
Yet another regular on Glastonbury rumours lists is Harry Styles, who might finally make his performing debut at the festival next year.
The former One Direction singer previously hinted at extending his Together, Together tour, which is currently due to run until December this year. When asked by Capital FM in January, he said: “Yeah, maybe. I think we’ll go one year at a time. Do this year first. We’ll see.”
Meanwhile, an insider toldThe Sun in 2024 that Eavis has wanted to secure Styles for a while “but the dates have never quite worked out”.
Oasis
Liam and Noel Gallagher took the UK by storm last year with their record-breaking Oasis reunion tour – and now they’re rumoured to be bringing their Champagne Supernova to Worthy Farm.
The brothers are among the bookies’ favourites to headline next year, with Oasis being given odds of 6/1. Meanwhile, earlier this month, the reunion tour’s promoter secured an events licence for Knebworth House – fuelling rumours that they’ll be performing at the Hertfordshire venue in September next year.
If Oasis are indeed taking their show to Knebworth for three weeks in 2027, there’s every chance they could make a stop at Glastonbury in the lead-up.
That said, Liam Gallagher recently hit back at the rumours, telling fans to “calm the f*** down” and insisting that the band are not headlining.
“It’s not HAPPENING so all you croc wearing flag waving s*** c***s can calm the f*** down,” he said in response to a fan page sharing the latest bookies’ odds.
This wasn’t the first time either Gallagher had taken aim at the festival. Responding to a post on X in 2025 asking if they could headline the Pyramid Stage again, Liam commented: “Hope not.”
He later added: “I like the other stages and the tents, but the main stage is like playing to a load of jamboree teachers.
“It’s a load of divs dressed in Ty die (sic) clothes banging clogs and blowing up balloons all with psycho smiles and crusty eyes and red wine mouths.”
Meanwhile, his older brother Noel criticised Glastonbury in 2024 for “virtue-signalling”, calling it “a bit woke” and “kind of preachy”.
Fontaines DC
The Irish rock band keep going from strength to strength, having recently announced their fifth studio album, Dopamine Chamber, for release on 16 October as well as a massive run of shows that will include two nights at Slane Castle in Dublin and shows at Heaton Park in Manchester and London Stadium.
The first date will take place at Slane Castle on 26 June, the day after Glastonbury 2027 concludes, leading fans to speculate that the band will make their debut as headliners on the Pyramid Stage at some point during the festival weekend.
Many would argue the spot would be long overdue, as the band have long-since proven themselves as one of the most thrilling live rock acts around.
They have also received critical acclaim for previous albums including 2024’s Romance, which achieved the number two spot in the UK charts behind Sabrina Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet, and received two Grammy nominations: for Best Rock Album and Best Alternative Music Performance (for “Starburster”).
Romance was also shortlisted for the 2025 Mercury Prize, which went to Sam Fender for People Watching,
Sam Fender
Speaking of... Sam Fender is another favourite to headline thanks to his own runaway success, including the aforementioned Mercury Prize win and the fact that his song with Olivia Dean, “Rein Me In”, is officially the longest-running Number 1 single in UK chart history, spending 19 non-consecutive weeks at the top of the official charts.
He also had a massive headline tour in support of his latest album, People Watching, which included two nights at the O2 Arena in London as well as a number of shows around Europe and North America. The North Shields star returned to the UK in June last year for further dates including a massive show at London Stadium, as well as three homecoming concerts at St James’s Park in Newcastle, before going back to the US as well as Australia.
Stevie Wonder
Stevie Wonder just announced a huge autumn tour in celebration of the 50th anniversary of his album, Songs in the Key of Life, suggesting the legendary crooner is still very willing to get out on the road.
Wonder, 76, has headlined Glastonbury before, but not since the festival celebrated its 40th anniversary, when he played the closing headline spot on the Pyramid Stage in 2010.
He most recently toured the UK in 2025, when he played a headline slot at BST festival in Hyde Park – fans were disappointed when it turned out that he wouldn’t be playing Glastonbury that year, as well.
Robbie Williams
After his headline-making turn at FIFA World Cup Final closing ceremony this summer, Robbie Williams is said to be eyeing up the Sunday afternoon legend slot at Glastonbury after fans spotted a major clue.
The singer recently confirmed that he would be playing in Lancashire and Limerick in early July – a week after he could potentially be on stage at Glastonbury.
Williams has also been vocal about wanting to take on the coveted slot, saying in 2023 on podcast Robbie Williams Rewind: “I know I’d slaughter it.
“When you do Glastonbury, perception changes more than any other festival. Diana Ross could play any festival and not get any traction, but she plays Glastonbury, and everybody is talking about it, like Barry Gibb. A lot of people there have an oblique perception of what I am. But if they saw me do it, I would take their heads off.”
