PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has announced that interns at government-linked companies (GLCs) will receive an allowance of at least RM800 a month.
He said the government agreed with the suggestions for higher internship allowances made by Form 6 students.
“For GLCs, a minimum allowance of RM800 a month will be given to all interns,” he said at an event at the finance ministry.
Meanwhile, Anwar urged the private sector to pay their interns allowances.
