GLOBE Telecom Inc. on Sunday said that it has fully restored its internet services, which were affected by a disruption along an international subsea cable segment between the Philippines and Singapore.
“Traffic across the affected segment has been restored after the cable landing station in the Philippines successfully reactivated the system and normalized fiber connections,” Globe said in a statement.
It added that mobile and broadband customers who experienced intermittent connectivity or slower internet browsing should expect services to return to normal.
Globe reported that the disruption reduced available international bandwidth, which, in turn, resulted in slower internet speeds or lag when browsing and accessing some international online services.
It said it will continue to monitor network performance following the restoration.
The disruption began on Thursday night and reduced the available international bandwidth, which resulted in slower browsing and lag when accessing some online services.
