
Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) on Saturday commenced the counselling process for the University Common Entrance Test (UCET)-2026. The first round of counselling will continue until July 7, while the schedule for the second round will be announced on July 6.
A total of 2,677 candidates appeared for the UCET, of whom 1,971 qualified for admission to various science and engineering programmes. On the first day, around 400 candidates reported to participate in the admission process for undergraduate programmes in science, mathematics and engineering disciplines. Heads of the respective departments, faculty members and departmental office staff remained present throughout the counselling process to assist students and their parents by verifying documents, providing academic guidance and ensuring the smooth completion of admission formalities.
