SEN. Bong Go was inducted into the Public Service Hall of Fame during the 5th Annual Asian Torch Excellence Awards on April 18 at the Great Eastern Hotel in Quezon City.
The event was organized by Realtalk Philippines. Leo Gamel Orencia, founder, president and CEO of Realtalk, chairs the Asian Torch Excellence Awards Council.
The annual event recognizes individuals for leadership and contributions to their communities.
Go, who was unable to attend the ceremony, commended the award-giving body for sustaining initiatives that highlight service-oriented leadership.
“We would also like to thank the award-giving body for its efforts in organizing this event and for continuing to recognize individuals who make a difference through their work and service,” he said in a statement.
“This event is a celebration not only of individual achievements but also of the shared commitment to serve and make a difference in the lives of others,” Go added.
