Kota Kinabalu: It is becoming vital for local businesses and companies to embrace digital transformation and high-tech solutions to improve productivity, and support Sabah’s post-pandemic recovery.
“Improving broadband quality and coverage, providing internet access to remote areas of Sabah is extremely important because most of our population reside in the rural areas – they are the ones who needed it the most,” said Datuk Adeline Leong, Chairperson of the Institute of Development Studies Sabah (IDS).
To support Sabah’s transformation towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution (I.R 4.0), Adeline underlined the importance of expediting the installation of telecommunication towers which aims to broaden high-quality digital broadband connectivity and cellular services in areas that have no or limited access to 3G or 4G coverage.
