Kota Kinabalu: Luyang Assemblyman Datuk Phoong Jin Zhe urged the Sabah Water Department to initiate a solution to the prolonged water supply crisis affecting Golden Hill Garden and Taman Waja residents in Luyang, as highlighted by Daily Express last week.

Phoong, who is Sabah Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship Minister, emphasised the gravity of the water supply crisis and affirmed his commitment to finding a resolution.

“I take this issue very seriously and I am genuinely disappointed that Golden Hill Garden and Taman Waja have endured water shortages for over a year.

Resolving this matter is my utmost priority,” he said after meeting the residents at the residences, recently.

The resident earlier questioned the availibility of both Phoong and MP Datuk Chan Foong Hin as elected reps.

Phoong set up a WhatsApp group chat comprising residents.

“This will enable me to personally monitor the situation. If any water cuts occur, the representatives can immediately inform me through the group,” he said.
