While Samsung changed things up with their Galaxy Z Fold 8, Google’s new Pixel 11 Pro Fold feels more like an evolution rather than a revolution. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold comes with a number of improvements across the board compared to its predecessor, such as an improved main camera, faster processor and brighter displays.
Design-wise, the Pixel 11 Pro Fold doesn’t look too different from the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with the same aspect ratios and the same design aesthetic; that’s not a bad thing of course, as the Pixel does have a unique look compared to its rivals. It’s much lighter though at 239g, 19g lighter than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, and is also thinner at 10.1mm when folded and 5.0mm unfolded. Google noted that the back panel has been upgraded too, to a composite material that’s 3x more durable than before.
As for the displays themselves, you’ll find a 6.5-inch Super Actua OLED cover display with a FHD+ resolution, while the main display is an 8-inch Super Actua OLED Flex display pushing a 2076 x 2152 resolution. Both displays have a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate, an up to 2,000nits HDR brightness and up to 3,600nits peak brightness compared to the 3,000nits of the 10 Pro Fold, along with full 24-bit colour depth.
Under the hood meanwhile is the Tensor G6, Google’s latest flagship system-on-chip fabbed on the 2nm TSMC node. That’s been paired with 16GB of memory and up to 512GB of storage, along with a Titan M3 security co-processor. You’ll also find Android 17 out of the box, with Google guaranteeing at least 7 years of OS, security and Pixel Drop updates. Some software improvements have been made too to the full screen experience, with better app bubbles, drag-and-drop, split screen and more animations for Made You Look.
Google has also upgraded the main camera on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold, with a new 48MP, f/1.7 main shooter using a 1/1.56″ image sensor that will offer 56% better light sensitivity for improved low light performance. That gets flanked by a 10.5MP, f/2.2 ultrawide shooter and a 10.8MP, f/3.1 telephoto offering 5x optical zoom, with Super Zoom digital zoom up to 30x. The two other cameras meanwhile are 10MP, f/2.2 selfie shooters in each display for your selfies and video calls.
While almost everything has been an upgrade so far, the battery on the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is now actually smaller, with a 4,806mAh battery that Google rates as good for 24 hours. It supports 30W fast charging, along with Pixelsnap wireless charging up to 25W.
Other features of note include stereo speakers, an IP68 dust and water resistance rating and a new HiLight notification LED on the back. You can also expect plenty of AI-powered tools and features thanks to an improved Gemini Intelligence suite.
The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at RM7,999, and is now available for pre-order from partner retailers and telcos.
