After what felt like months of leaks and rumours, Google has finally announced the Pixel 10a. The new midrange smartphone is will be available for pre-orders from 18 February onwards albeit in the US only for now; information about local pricing and availability should happen soon after that.
As you can see from their short teaser video, the Pixel 10a continues the lack of a camera bump as was the case on the Pixel 9a, but takes it a step further with a completely flat back design. The actual camera island itself is a little but larger than before too, and will likely hold a dual camera setup.
Other than that though, no details about the specifications of the Pixel 10a for now. It is believed however that the Pixel 10a will come with a 6.3-inch OLED display, while the flush camera layout ought to house a 48MP main camera and a 13MP ultrawide with a 13MP selfie camera up front. Some leaks hint at the Pixel 10a using a last gen Tensor G4 instead of the newer G5 though, alongside 8GB of RAM and a 5,100 mAh battery.
In any case, do stay tuned as 18 February is right around the corner. For those looking for the ‘authentic’ Google Pixel experience, the Pixel A series has been one of the easiest ways to get into the ecosystem, and the Pixel 10a will likely continue that tradition.
