
THE Government has confirmed an increase in the retail prices of petrol and diesel following recent surges in global oil markets.
From 5 March 2026 until 11 March 2026, RON97 petrol will be priced at RM3.25 per litre, non-subsidised RON95 at RM2.67 per litre, and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia at RM3.12 per litre.
The Ministry of Finance stated that the Government will continue to review and adjust prices for RON97, RON95, and diesel in accordance with fluctuations in the international oil market.
Officials emphasised that ensuring price stability remains a top priority.
Using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the adjustments for the period are as follows: RON97 petrol rises by 10 sen to RM3.25 per litre, non-subsidised RON95 petrol rises by 8 sen to RM2.67 per litre, while subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 scheme remains at RM1.99 per litre.
Diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will rise by 8 sen to RM3.12 per litre, whereas diesel prices in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre.
The Ministry of Finance reiterated that the Government will continue monitoring global oil price trends and will take appropriate measures to safeguard the welfare of the people. - March 4, 2026
