The Housing and Local Government Ministry remains dedicated to assisting the developers of Hektar Gombak Residency in securing the necessary funding to bring their affordable housing project to completion, despite its current 'sick' status. Deputy Minister Datuk Aiman Athirah Sabu emphasized that the developers must adhere to financial institutions' conditions for loan approval.

"The on-site progress stands at 84.75 percent, with minimal and unsatisfactory advancements," she highlighted.

Aiman Athirah revealed that the Task Force on Private Housing and Abandoned Projects (TFST) has actively engaged with the developers, conducting on-site visits to address the challenges faced by the project. As a positive step, TFST has successfully resolved technical issues related to the Integrated Water Supply Scheme (IWSS), Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and pipe installation of Greater KL (GKL).

Expressing concern for homebuyers affected by the project's delays, Aiman Athirah stated, “KPKT is prepared to explore alternative solutions to revive ailing housing projects, particularly those aimed at providing affordable homes. Our goal is to alleviate the financial burden on homebuyers who must bear housing financing costs while waiting for their new homes.”
