Government committed to improving infrastructure facilities in villages

Kundasang: Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam said the State Government remains committed to improving infrastructure facilities in rural areas.

He said the government tries to continue to help each village and implement development according to local priorities and needs.

Dr Joachim congratulated the people of Kg Semuroh near here for having a mini hall and using it as best as possible.

“Villagers can use this hall as best they can, village activities can be held in this hall,” said Dr Joachim who is also Minister of Industrial Development cum Kundasang Assemblyman.

He said when inaugurating the mini Semuroh Village Hall, here in conjunction with the Family Day in the village.

He also praised the villagers for holding a family day every year.

“This is what we want, every village has activities like this that illustrate the unity of the residents to indirectly discuss village matters,” he said.

Also present were the Political Secretary of the Ministry of Industrial Development Yubidi Gumpoyo, Community Supervisor Japili Madi, Native Head Representative (WKAN) Native Head (KAN) and also Village Head.
