THE Ministry of Finance announced today that the retail prices of RON97 petrol and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will rise by six sen per litre, effective from 30 October to 5 November 2025, following a recent surge in global oil prices.
The Ministry confirmed that RON97 will be priced at RM3.20 per litre, while diesel in Peninsular Malaysia will be set at RM2.95 per litre.
Non-subsidised RON95 remains unchanged at RM2.60 per litre, and subsidised RON95 under the BUDI95 programme continues at RM1.99 per litre. Diesel in Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan will remain at RM2.15 per litre.
“The Government will continue to review and adjust RON97 and diesel retail prices in line with movements in the current global oil markets. Even so, price stability remains the foremost priority,” the Ministry of Finance said in a statement issued from Putrajaya today.
Using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the Government emphasised that it will closely monitor international oil price trends and implement appropriate measures to safeguard public welfare.- October 29, 2025
