Government to support youths’ interest in e-sports

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government will continue to emphasise in carrying out various activities and programmes for youths involving technologies, particularly in the mobile gaming world of e-sports.

Assistant Tourism, Culture and Environment Minister Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said that there are several programmes in the pipeline that will be carried out to support youths’ interest.

With e-sports being a massive global industry, he said that there are talented youths in the country, particularly in Sabah, who should not be ignored but instead supported and nurtured to ensure that their respective ability would be displayed even further.
