Govt allocates over RM12.4mil for opposition Community Development Leader Units

Kota Kinabalu: The State Government has allocated a total of RM12,413,000 for Community Development Leader Units (UPPM) under the opposition as of June this year.

State Assistant Finance Minister Jasnih Daya said the allocation, approved by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, involves a total of 354 small projects.

“Of this sum, RM11,173,000 or 90 per cent is in the process of being distributed to the concerned UPPM offices.

“For the remaining amount, complete information on certain UPPM offices is still being obtained,” he said during a question-and-answer session at the State Legislative Assembly (DUN), here, Thursday.
