
KUDAT: The State Government is committed to resolving the water issues faced by the residents of Pulau Banggi by building a new water treatment plant for the island.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor said that he would obtain a report from the Sabah Water Department (JANS) regarding the cost of the proposed plant to determine the necessary allocation.
"I want to get a report from JANS on the cost of establishing the plant on Pulau Banggi, and God willing, I will allocate the funds.
"This is crucial to meet the basic needs of our people, such as water and other essential facilities that must be prioritised," he said during a Hari Raya open house event hosted by the Banggi and Tanjung Kapor Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) at the Tun Mustapha Hall here on Sunday.
