THE Ministry of Finance announced today that the Government has agreed to reduce the retail prices of RON97 and diesel in Peninsular Malaysia by 5 sen to RM3.38 per litre and RM3.13 per litre respectively from 6 March 2025 to 12 March 2025.

In statement today, the ministry said in line with the fluctuations in global oil prices, the government continues to monitor market developments and adjust the RON97 and diesel fuel’s retail prices based on global oil market fluctuations, whilst supporting price stability.

“Therefore, based on the weekly retail pricing of petroleum products using the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula, the retail prices of petroleum products from 6 March 2025 to 12 March 2025 are fixed as follows:

(i) the retail price of RON97 reduced by 5 sen to RM3.38 per litre;

(ii) the retail price of RON95 petrol remains unchanged at RM2.05 per litre;

(iii) the retail price of diesel in Peninsular Malaysia reduced by 5 sen to RM3.13 per litre; and
