Kuala Lumpur: Troubled carrier MYAirline’s operating licence will be suspended, says transport minister Loke Siew Fook.

“We will suspend their licence for the time being,” Loke told reporters after an event here.

Airlines typically require two licences to operate – an air operator certificate (AOC) and an air service licence (ASL).

The AOC and ASL are issued by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) and the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom), respectively.
