Christian Pulisic was dragged before 60 minutes of play in the USMNT's shock loss to Canada on Tuesday.
It was the Canadians' first victory over their neighbours since 1985.
Bayern Munich winger Alphonse Davies played a large role, scoring the game's opening goal shortly after Pulisic was substituted.
The winger's poor form for Chelsea seemingly carried over to Toronto as he completed just 11 passes in a wasteful display.
