Grab Malaysia recently announced one of its meaningful steps in supporting its driver, delivery, and merchant partners with the launch of its new Kampus Rakan Grab (KRG) hubs.

Starting with a revamped centre in PJ, the Kampus Rakan Grab hub delivers several focus areas, one including continuous learning through GrabAcademy, providing programs covering digital and financial skills, exposure to new tools including AI, and certification pathways developed with partners like CARSOME Academy, GIATMARA, and Saito University College.

The second focus is on building a more inclusive and supportive community, with the hubs designed to be PWD-friendly through dedicated assistance booths for deaf partners, family-friendly with play areas for working parents, and community-driven through regular networking sessions and festive events.

For the last one, it is about simplifying the path to economic growth by centralising essential services, from one-stop issue resolution and onboarding, to hands-on access to Grab’s wider ecosystem, like GXBank, GFin, and Jaya Grocer, while also bringing in third-party vendors such as insurance providers for on-site consultations.

The initiative has also drawn government support, with the launch officiated by Minister of Human Resources Yang Berhormat Dato’ Sri Ramanan Ramakrishnan, who pointed out that the move aligns with the Ministry’s push for a future-ready workforce, while also confirming that Grab Malaysia will increase its investment to subsidise PERKESO contributions under the Lindung Kendiri scheme for active drivers and delivery partners.

He added that Grab will collaborate with the Ministry to make upskilling programmes accessible via PTPK, effectively widening access to training opportunities that can support long-term career prospects rather than just short-term income.
