KENINGAU: A 62-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of raping his 10-year-old granddaughter in a village here.
The alleged abuse came to light when the young victim was taken to hospital for medical attention after complaining of genital pain.
According to District police chief Supt Yampil Garai, the victim disclosed to medical staff that she had been repeatedly raped by her grandfather since 2020, with the most recent incident occurring on March 1.
