Great British Bake Off fan favourite John broke down in tears after his bagels took a turn for the worse in week three of the competition.
Tuesday’s show (8 October) saw bakers compete in bread week as they were tasked with making a bread cornucopia filled with baked goods
The NHS support manager struggled as his bagels would not float to the surface of boiling water as they should.
Choking back the tears, John was comforted by presenter Alison Hammond before he left the tent to gather his emotions
At the end of the show, presenter Noel Fielding announced John had sadly lost his place in the competition.
