
- The Green Party’s Liam Shrivastava has won the mayoralty in Lewisham with 35,265 votes.
- Labour’s Amanda De Ryk came second in the southeast London constituency with 30,374 votes, with Reform UK’s Pete Newman third on 7,288.
- Mr Shrivastava is the second Green Party mayor to be elected in London, following Zoe Garbett, who was confirmed as mayor of Hackney earlier on Friday.
- Green Party leader Zack Polanski welcomed the "phenomonal result", saying that Mr Shrivastava had run a "powerhouse, community driven campaign".
- Mr Shrivastava was a member of Labour until mid-2025 when he switched allegiance to the Greens, saying that "the party I joined is unrecogniseable from what it has become".
