Liverpool and Barcelona legend Luis Suarez could be close to hanging up his boots.
The attacker, who is in Brazil with Gremio, has played 25 appearances for the South American club this season.
However, injury issues mean that Suarez may be ready to call time on a glittering career.
On Twitter, club president Alberto Guerra said: Luis Surez is reaching his limit.
To be able to play he is given almost daily injections and special treatments, he feels constant pain. The thing is serious."
Suarez, who is now 36, has been unable to find his best form this term, despite scoring 11 goals for Gremio.
