At a wedding reception held in front of more than 200 guests, Malaysian groom Ernest decided to add extra excitement to the evening by orchestrating an elaborate prank on his close friend, well-known stand-up comedian Dr. Jason Leong.
Leong had been invited to deliver a speech during the dinner. Before he could do so, Ernest conspired with his groomsmen, fellow comedian Kuah Jenhan, and emcees Queena and Jeremy to pull off a surprise switch. The emcees began hyping up the groom's next guest speaker, describing him as Ernest's favorite comic and the funniest and most professional comedian he knows.
Leong sat at his table with his prepared notes in hand, laughing and nodding in agreement as he anticipated being summoned to the stage. However, the screen behind the podium abruptly displayed a photo introducing Kuah Jenhan instead, who stood up and made his way forward to the surprise and amusement of the room.
Upon realizing the trick, Leong burst into laughter while guests and tablemates recorded his reaction. Following Kuah Jenhan's appearance, Leong eventually took the podium to deliver his speech, taking the opportunity to roast the groom in good humor.
