PENAMPANG: Two ground-breaking inventions by SM St Michael’s students won a gold medal in Bangkok recently.
The inventions were called BVR, an affordable VR solution for education that combines hardware and software and Probos, an adjustable vest made from stretchable fabric with a massager to correct body posture.

The five-day exhibition took place from Feb 2-6.
The student inventors behind BVR were Jermaine Jeremiah Joseph and Jared Rowdy Ignatius, while Probos were Abygail Joyce Noirom and Gerreth Abrey Gerry Asing.
Principal Jennifer Asing said the school sent 27 students and three teachers to the event, their biggest contingent ever to take part in any local or international exhibition. The students were in 12 teams from the school, each exhibiting their innovative creation in the event.
Aside from the gold medal, four teams — Lovely, ACES, DeVanci and DVA — clinched the bronze for their revolutionary creations called Rhys-Step, HydraAlert, Lalatz, and Bio-Peel, respectively. Six others, namely Sadge, MIXSPINS, SplashBros, RAD, Oceanist and AIRGHEN, took home the silver for their ingenious inventions called Binbuster, Healthlink, Newdreams, HydroHarvester, Mudflush and Chilltropolis. Their innovative solutions left a lasting impression on the judges.
