We have politicians who are supposed to be leaders. Yet, they repeatedly demonstrate troubling patterns of behaviour.
We keep reading of their incessant bullying tactics, never-ending rhetorics and reckless provocations. They paint a picture of themselves as driven by insecurity and a desperate need for attention. And they don't even know it.
If you disagree with someone's stand, how should you respond? With insults? By mocking them? Once you resort to name-calling and personal insults, you have already lost the argument. Calling others “stupid” or “old” isn't leadership. It's school-yard bullying. Learn to debate the issues instead of attacking the person. If you are unable to engage in debate, you should not be in politics.
A Culture of Paranoia
At the heart of it, is your siege mentality. You think that you and your community are always under attack from unseen enemies. This is the motivation behind everything you say and do. You're afraid that someone, somewhere is plotting to overthrow your identity and your beliefs. Grow up lah! You're afraid of your own shadows. How did this come about? Is it your culture? Is it your religion? Is it your upbringing? If you can't handle criticism without lashing out wildly, quit politics. You show obvious signs of narcissism. This is textboook behaviour of someone suffering from superiority complex. A grandiose sense of self-importance. You can't stand being challenged.
Molotov Mentality
You pretend that your agenda is about protecting your community. That's a fallacy. What you're doing is creating an "us vs. them" mentality. You would rather play the hero than actually solve problems. You're creating a climate of fear where Malaysians are encouraged to see their neighbours as enemies. Shame on you. Your extreme reactions constantly fuel unnecessary conflicts. Your priority is your ego over the well-being of the rakyat. Worryingly, the problem is amplified because your fear-mongering resonates with others who share similar insecurities. And suddenly, someone is launching a molotov cocktail in solidarity with you. Your siege mentality and your sense of victimhood have become the default responses to any perceived threat or challenge. Such a mindset is a ticking time bomb for Malaysian society.
This is not what Malaysia needs. We need leaders who can bring people together, not drive them apart. We need leaders who can solve real problems and respect all Malaysians regardless of race or religion. We need to recognize and reject all such toxic individuals once and for all.
