Kota Kinabalu: The Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) Backbenchers Club will write a letter to the State Speaker to refer Tungku Assemblyman Assafal P Alian to the Rights and Privileges Committee for misleading the State Assembly.
The committee is chaired by the Speaker Datuk Seri Kadzim M Yahya.
The unanimous decision was made following a speech made by Assafal during the DUN sitting on Aug 10 where he said: “This thing just happened. When we let the Federal Government make a decision on behalf of the State Government to hand over Ambalat to the Indonesian Government”.
