THE distribution of seats between Barisan Nasional (BN) and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) will be on a 50-50 ratio in the coming 15th General Election (GE15).

BN Sabah Chairman Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin said there would be no clash of seats between BN and GRS and seat distribution would be to create a win-win situation.

“We already discussed the matter with GRS six months ago. All in total is 25 seats in Sabah. So, it’s a win-win for us (BN and GRS).

“BN and GRS will announce their candidates simultaneously in Kota Kinabalu soon and BN Sabah will line up about 80 per cent of new faces for the 15th GE,” he said, after opening the Umno Kinabatangan Division delegates meeting in Sandakan on Oct 15.

He advised those not selected as candidates to see the bigger picture for the sake of the state and nation.

“They can be disappointed and sullen for two or three days but then come back to help the chosen candidates. We make decisions for the common good,” he said.

He reminded all Pemuda, Wanita and Puteri machinery to work at their best and strive for the love of the party.

“Do mobilise all our machinery to search for old and new members, especially young voters. Make sure they translate their support into the form of votes during the next election.

“Our advantage is that we have many members but there is no use for many if each member does not work. Therefore, be a member who works for the party, contributing to the party’s victory.

Bung also firmly called on all members to strengthen the party by working together with GRS in ensuring the winning of the next GE.
