Kundasang: Sabah Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun (pic) has called on Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) members to uphold integrity and treat their positions as a public trust following the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition’s election victory.

Speaking at a thanksgiving dinner organised by Gagasan Rakyat Karanaan division together with Kundasang and Paginatan divisions at Hotel Perkasa Kundasang on Saturday, Masidi said political stability in Sabah is crucial for economic growth and public wellbeing.

He said the state’s current stability provides a foundation for attracting investment, creating jobs and implementing sustainable development across Sabah.

“The victory is not merely for celebration. It requires us to work more efficiently and with integrity. Every decision and action must prioritise the wellbeing of the people,” he said.

Masidi reminded party members that appointments should be viewed as a responsibility rather than a privilege, urging leaders to focus on delivering tangible benefits to the community.

As an elected representative, he pledged to continue strengthening infrastructure development, improving education quality, enhancing healthcare facilities and supporting programmes that raise the standard of living in Sabah.

He also expressed appreciation to voters for renewing their mandate, describing it as a major responsibility that he is committed to carrying out with dedication for the progress of the state.

The event was attended by Gagasan Rakyat leaders from Karanaan, Kundasang and Paginatan, as well as community representatives and invited guests.
