KINABATANGAN: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor has defended the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS)-Pakatan Harapan (PH) Plus government's ability to govern and manage the state effectively.

He stressed that his administration had not failed in carrying out its responsibilities and duties as the government despite being accused by the opposition of being a failed administration.

He said such accusations were merely perceptions held by those who disliked the GRS-PH Plus government and refused to acknowledge the many achievements it had accomplished.

"We have done a lot, yet some claim that the GRS government has failed. In reality, it has not failed. How can we be considered a failure when we are governing the State well?

"We have increased revenue, implemented development projects, assisted the people, and enhanced aid for students across Sabah, from Form Five and Form Six to the university level.

"Likewise, we successfully signed an agreement with Petronas, one of our achievements. None of this would have been possible if we could not manage the State.

"If we are deemed a failed government, that is merely the perception of those who oppose us," he said at a breaking of fast event organised by Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Sukau at the Tun Juhar Mosque compound in Sukau on Saturday.
