
Tuaran: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor reiterated that the interests of all races will be protected under the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah-led State Government.
“I will be fair to all races as we are all under one big family,” he said at the Pesta Tanglung event organised jointly by the Tuaran District Council and Tuaran Basketball Association at Dewan Sulaman, Thursday.
Some 1,500 people attended the event.
He urged the people to continue the spirit of togetherness by supporting and participating in cultural events.

Read more Hajiji, who is also Sulaman Assemblyman, said he had tried his best to be fair to all races since assuming the Chief Ministership three years ago.
“The interests of the Chinese community is protected under my administration where funds are given for temples and churches as well as Chinese schools, he said.
Hajiji said he fully understand the problems faced by the people such as water and electricity as well as bad road conditions.
“As I have said give me two to three years to solve the problems,” he said, adding that all these are long standing problems of past administrations that must be solved.
