Newcastle United are ready to try again for Hoffenheim striker Joelinton.
The Daily Mail says Toon owner Mike Ashley is prepared to release 36million for the powerful 22-year-old Hoffenheim forward but wants to avoid more protracted negotiations.
Newcastle first made their interest in Joelinton known in January and have maintained interest though Hoffenheim have been pushing for 40million.
Ashley is hoping to conclude talks with Sheffield Wednesday for Steve Bruce and his coaching staff on Monday and ideally would like to present his new manager with a striker to replace the departed Ayoze Perez and Salomon Rondon.
