Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is eager to see a new midfielder signed this summer.

AS says Guardiola wants to bring in a midfielder who can relieve Rodri, but also play together with the Spaniard.

City are primarily looking at Bruno Guimares, the Newcastle star.

The 26-year-old has a buy-out clause in his contract that stands at 100m.

The Brazil midfielder has also been linked with PSG this season.

City have two alternatives for Guimares: Bayern Munich ace Joshua Kimmich, 29, and Aston Villa's Douglas Luiz, 25.
