Carney Chukwuemeka has been back at Bodymoor Heath this week for the final stage of Aston Villa's preseason.

Chukwuemeka missed Villa's preseason tour of Australia, having been left behind by manager Steven Gerrard after he refused to commit his long-term future to the club.

Frederic Guilbert has posted a snap training alongside contract rebel Chukwuemeka and Villa's under-23s.

Guilbert uploaded an image from training with Chukwuemeka, Aaron O'Reilly, Declan Frith, Myles Sohna, first-team prospect Tommi O'Reilly and academy keeper James Wright, with the caption: 'Winning team!'

On Thursday, Gerrard's first-team held an in-house media day in the barn at Bodymoor Heath while the academy players continued to be put through their paces ahead of the new season.
