Ilkay Gundogan says he's happy as captain of Manchester City.
The midfielder succeeded Fernandinho this season.
He said at today's Champions League presser: "The atmosphere is quite similar, I think. Obviously we lost good players and good guys who were important for the positivity we had in the dressing room. New players have come in and stepped up; they contribute to the atmosphere. Players coming and going is something every team in the world deals with.
"My role might change a little bit but it is more about what is happening around the team, the organisation and dealing with a few things. I contacted [former captain] Fernandinho and he's helped me, even though he's not here anymore. It is a new role and something I might need to grow into; I try to leas by example. I'm not the loudest one in the dressing room."
On Erling Haaland, Gundogan added: "His determination off the pitch is something incredible. For such a young boy, he's very mature. His future is very bright, he's going to show us a lot more this season and for the next few years. The club signed an incredible player and person."
