
The Gurugram police arrested four persons in connecting with the firing at the house of singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s event organiser Saurabh Yadav at Kanhai village in Sector 45. The accused had allegedly provided bikes and weapons to the shooters, who are still at large.
On Saturday night, two shooters belonging to gangster Deepak Nandal opened fire at the house of singer Rahul Fazilpuria’s event organiser at Kanhai village in Sector 45.
Constable Kulbir, deployed for Saurabh Yadav’s security, was injured after being hit by two bullets.
After committing the crime, the accused fled the scene on their bike. An FIR was registered at the Sector 40 police station based on the complaint of Constable Kulbir.
During investigation, the crime unit, Sector 40 team, arrested four persons from Gurugram on Monday night and Tuesday. The accused were identified as Ashok, alias Pahalwan (35), and Manoj Kabar (46), residents of Rohtak, and Sumit (33) and Vicky (36), residents of Sonipat in Haryana.
“During interrogation, the accused revealed that they conducted a recce to carry out the crime and provided bikes, weapons and other assistance to the shooters. The accused were also present near the scene of the incident to assist the attackers. We are questioning them,” said a spokesperson for the Gurugram police.
A senior police officer said preliminary investigation revealed that Saurabh and gangster Deepak Nandal were old acquaintances. However, they had a dispute over money, which led to Deepak Nandal threatening Saurabh. “The shooting incident was carried out by Deepak Nandal’s shooters and we are searching for them,” he said.
