GWM Malaysia has unveiled the long-awaited opportunity for car enthusiasts to secure their own GWM Tank 500, with the highly coveted SUV now available for booking with an expected price below RM350,000
Anticipation for the Tank 500 has been building since the preview at Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS).
GWM Tank 500 a vehicle designed with an off-road theme attached- is readily available as an alternative to the famous Toyota Land Cruiser. Nearly the size as the latest Land Cruiser, Tank 500 is at 4,878mm long, 1,934mm wide and 1,905mm high and sitting on a 2,850mm wheelbase.
While the official specifications remain under wraps, the HEV version—previewed at KLIMS 2024—is widely anticipated, featuring a robust 2.0-liter turbocharged engine working in tandem with a potent electric motor.
If the preview serves as an accurate representation, Malaysians can expect a hybrid powertrain that marries a 244hp and 380Nm gasoline engine with a 106hp and 268Nm electric motor, delivering a dynamic driving experience.
Interior wise, it packs with luxury combo with leather seats as well as 12.3 inch panel instrument and 16.2 inch infotainment display.
