Tottenham's players have delivered Jose Mourinho an impressive winning debut as new manager with a 3-2 win at West Ham.

Son Heung-min gave Spurs - who sacked boss Mauricio Pochettino on Tuesday - the lead with a stepover and finish.

Son then crossed for Lucas Moura to score at the back post and Harry Kane headed in Serge Aurier's cross.

Michail Antonio drove home for the hosts - and Declan Rice had a goal disallowed by the VAR before Angelo Ogbonna scored deep into injury time.

England captain Kane - who has scored 21 goals in 22 games for club and country this season - is now Spurs' third highest scorer ever with 175.

Tottenham move up from 14th to sixth before the 15:00 GMT kick-offs, with Manuel Pellegrini's West Ham remaining two places above the relegation zone.

Spurs academy coach Bradley Allen reacted at the final whistle: "He's quite an animated figure Jose Mourinho: certainly for him there are things to work on the training pitch considering the two late goals they conceded.

"Spurs put themselves in a rather strange position: winning 3-0 away from home and then they allowed West Ham in.

"There were some very good spells in the game from Tottenham and they were worthy winners."
