Manchester United plan to test Tottenham's resolve with an offer for Christian Eriksen.
AS says Eriksen tops United's wishlist for replacing Paul Pogba.
Eriksen's fellow admirers Real Madrid have now leapfrogged Juventus in the race for 150million-rated Pogba.
Tottenham playmaker Eriksen's family were spotted house-hunting in Madrid last month but now it seems Real are focusing on Pogba.
That means Eriksen has reconsidered his preference for the Spanish giants over United.
And Old Trafford boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is thought to rate the 27-year-old Dane as the best option for building a midfield around, if Pogba departs as expected.
