Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan has officially confirmed that he will marry his partner, Gauri Spratt, on July 5 in an intimate ceremony at his Mumbai residence.

Speaking to the media during the screening of Pritam and Pedro on Thursday, the actor put months of speculation to rest by announcing his wedding plans.

“Yes, I am getting married on July 5, and it is going to be a very small, intimate wedding. We are hosting it at home with both our families. It is a very special day for us. We seek everyone’s prayers and blessings. Please pray for our happiness and a wonderful journey ahead,” Aamir said.

The wedding will be attended by close family members and friends, including the children of both Aamir Khan and Gauri Spratt from their previous relationships. The couple has chosen to keep the ceremony intimate, celebrating the occasion with their blended family rather than hosting a lavish Bollywood affair.

Aamir and Gauri’s relationship first came into the public eye ahead of the actor’s 60 birthday celebrations, when he introduced her to the media and requested photographers to respect her privacy by not taking her pictures. While the two have known each other for nearly 25 years, they rekindled their friendship recently after Aamir’s cousin, Nuzhat Khan, reintroduced them. They have reportedly been in a relationship for about a year and are now living together at Aamir’s Bandra residence.

Originally from Bengaluru, Gauri previously worked with a leading haircare brand before moving to Mumbai, where she is now associated with Aamir Khan’s production house.

The upcoming marriage marks a new chapter in Aamir’s personal life. The actor was first married to his childhood sweetheart, Reena Dutta, in 1986. The couple, who have two children, Junaid and Ira Khan, separated amicably in 2002 and have continued to share a cordial relationship.

He later married filmmaker Kiran Rao in 2005 after the two grew close during the making of Lagaan. They welcomed their son, Azad Rao Khan, through surrogacy in 2011 and announced their separation in 2021, while maintaining that they would continue to co-parent and collaborate professionally.

With the July 5 ceremony, Aamir is set to begin a new journey with Gauri Spratt, surrounded by close family and loved ones, as fans across the country send their congratulations and best wishes.
