Hajiji pays last respects to late Ghapur

Kota Kinabalu: Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor paid his last respects to the late Datuk Seri Abdul Ghapur Salleh at Masjid Jamek Kampung Likas, near here, on Tuesday.

Hajiji later proceeded to the Kampung Likas Muslim Burial Ground, where the veteran politician and former Kalabakan MP was laid to rest.

Ghapur, who was former Deputy Chief Minister and former Kalabakan Umno Chief, passed away at 12.07am on Tuesday, at age 80.

Kalabakan Umno Women’s Chief Datuk Hamisa Samat said she learned a lot from him.

His daughter, Noraini Abdul Ghapur, said her father sucummbed to several organ failures.
