
Kota Kinabalu: Public security in Sabah will continue to be strengthened to ensure that the people can carry out economic and social activities in a peaceful and prosperous environment, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
He said public safety assurance will also increase the confidence of foreign investors to carry out economic activities in the state.
"The peace we have achieved will also enable the state development agenda, which is the Hala Tuju Sabah Maju Jaya (SMJ), in the best possible way," he said at a Hari Raya Aidilfitri cookies handover ceremony to members of the state's security services and health workers at Menara Kinabalu, here, Thursday.
On behalf of the State Government, Hajiji expressed gratitude for the service and sacrifice of the security services and health workers in the state.
He said their respective duties and responsibilities are challenging and their untiring and selfless sacrifices will always be remembered.
